Safe Environment

Our parish thrives because of volunteers like you! Saint Timothy Catholic Church is united with the Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis in our commitment to providing a safe environment for all parishioners, including children, teens, and vulnerable adults. As part of this commitment, all new volunteers who work with children, teens, or vulnerable adults are required to submit a Volunteer Application & Information Form and meet the Essential Three Safe Environment requirements before volunteering.

Volunteer Safe Environment Requirements
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Church of Saint Timothy. Your interest in volunteering is a way of serving Christ in those around you.

All volunteers who work with children, teens, or vulnerable adults need to complete a Volunteer Application and be “Essential Three” qualified with the Archdiocese-required “Essential Three” prior to volunteering. The Three Essentials to be completed are:

1) a criminal background check (cost covered by the parish),
2) a signed code of conduct, and
3) an online training in VIRTUS.

The Volunteer Application can be found here.

PAST AND CURRENT VOLUNTEERS:
Volunteers who have already completed the “Essential Three” are now required to renew these three items every three years. VIRTUS re-certification involves watching an online video (20-30 minutes) and taking a simple quiz.

  1. Go to www.virtusonline.org log in with your original User ID and password. If you do not remember your User ID or cannot retrieve your password, you may call or email St. Timothy’s Parish Safe Environment Coordinator, Rita Rasset at 320-963-3726, or parishoffice@churchofsttimothy.org
  2. Once you are logged in, you should see three links highlighted in yellow: Background Check, Code of Conduct, and Assigned Module. Click each link and complete each item.
  3. You should also take this opportunity to update your account information. If you completed your VIRTUS training as a volunteer for another parish, please call or email our Safe Environment Coordinator, Rita Rasset at 320-963-3726, or parishoffice@churchofsttimothy.org
