Welcome to the Faith Formation Program at Saint Timothy’s Catholic Church in Maple Lake, Minnesota. The general goal of our program is to be a supplement to the faith formation received at home. More specifically we hope to:
- Develop and mature the understanding our students have of Sacred Scripture.
- Develop and mature their prayer life.
- Develop and mature our students knowledge and appreciation for all things Catholic.
Our curriculum primarily includes, but is not limited to, the Christ our Life series, Theology of the Body, the YOUCAT and DECISION POINT.
Volunteer catechists lead groups of students in weekly formation at Saint Timothy’s School. Grades kindergarten through six meet in the afternoons from 4:30 pm until 5:45 pm and grades seven through ten meet in the evening from 7:00 pm until 8:15 pm.
All students from grades six through ten are required to attend a retreat and grades seven through ten will also be attending a NET Retreat every year that takes place at Saint Timothy’s Church. If your student attends a Catholic High School or is home-schooled and wants to be Confirmed with Saint Timothy’s Class, they are also required to attend an overnight retreat in grades nine and ten and complete our oral and written exam with the other tenth grade students.
