I hope you’re having a good week. As I mentioned before, we are hoping to focus on the gift and blessing of Eucharistic adoration in a special way this year as a parish, thanks to the help and support of the parish advisory council. As part of that effort, we will be welcoming a visitor to our parish next weekend, August 5th and 6th, Sister Sarah Hennessey, from the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration. She has appeared on Relevant Radio and speaks frequently on adoration. After I give a very brief homily, she will speak at all of the Masses on adoration for a few minutes. My hope is that every family would be spending some time in our adoration chapel every week, even if they can only give a few minutes. It is such a profound blessing for our own lives and for those around us. Sister Sarah will also give a talk that goes more depth into adoration after the 4:30 PM Mass on Saturday, August 5th. This talk after that Mass will last about thirty minutes. If you want to learn more about adoration or if you want to help your time in the adoration chapel be more fruitful, plan to attend this talk and invite others to do the same. We can hear from someone who has spent countless hours praying before the presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. Again, we look forward to welcoming Sister Sarah. Thank you to all of you who commit to an hour of adoration and dedicate yourselves to spiritual growth in that way. God bless.
