The Feast of the Immaculate Conception

IMG_9000.JPG

This is a quick post to remind you to make plans to attend Mass on Tuesday, December 8th for the Holy Day of Obligation in honor of the Immaculate Conception of Mary.  Masses at Saint Timothy’s will be at 9:00 A.M. and 7:00 P.M.  This will also be the beginning of Pope Francis’ Year of Mercy.  I will write more about that soon, but it’s clear that the Holy Father has big plans for this year.  As Catholics, we are obliged to attend Mass on these days because of the importance of the celebration for our faith.  In the event that our Mass times do not work, you can always check neighboring parishes.  Also, while there are no promises here, it is quite likely I will be able to add a Mass on late Monday evening for the Holy Day as well at a time to be determined later.  It would be great to see our whole parish attend this important feast day in honor of Mary as we kick off the Year of Mercy together.

God bless your weekend ahead.
