I hope you are having a good day and start to the weekend. I wanted to let you know that Jacob Nelson, our youth director, RCIA teacher, and middle school religion teacher at Saint Timothy’s School informed me that he would be stepping down from his positions here at Saint Timothy’s at the end of June to move on to other endeavors. While he will still be with us for some time and there will be opportunities to thank him further in the months ahead, I wanted to thank him briefly here for all of the great work that he has done for our parish and school. He has been a dedicated, faithful leader and teacher for our youth and adults. He has done a great job with the youth group, growing the program, bringing new creative ideas, and showing his dedication and care for the youth of our parish in so many ways. He has done the same in his teaching and challenged the youth and adults to new heights with his lectures and talks. During these past few years, I have heard so many of you say to me how much you appreciate Jacob’s presence and work. I know, then, that he will be missed by you as well and especially by our youth. Please join me in thanking him for his work and wishing him well in his future pursuits. There will be ample opportunities to do so, since he will remain here for the next few months. May God bless you as we move towards these last two weeks of Lent.
