News Around the Parish

Hello all,

I hope all is well with you, and I hope you’re having a good week.  Here is a brief update on the latest happenings around the parish and school:

  • Tonight, a team from NET Ministries in Saint Paul will be at Saint Timothy’s to lead a retreat for our 7th-10th graders in faith formation.  It is always a good time, and it’s great to have the NET Team join us.
  • Work continues on the school addition project.  I hope you saw the school’s Facebook post recently that shows the interior of the addition.  You can see the classrooms begin to take shape.  Work on various interior projects will begin in earnest in the weeks ahead.
  • Our second graders will make their first confession this Saturday morning.  Please keep them in your prayers.  I will be visiting with the second graders in faith formation and in the school this week to give them a tour of the confessional and prepare them in that way.
  • As a reminder, the CCW will be praying the rosary in the courtyard this Friday at noon for the protection of all human life.  Friday is the anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade decision and is marked as a special day of prayer and penance in our nation.
  • Don’t forget to plan ahead and prepare for Sunday Mass by reading the readings ahead of time.  Click here.
  • Speaking of Sunday, we will hear about the Catholic Services Appeal this Sunday and the many good works that the foundation does for people in our Archdiocese.
  • We will continue distribution of the new directories after all Masses this weekend.  If you had your picture taken for the directory, you will receive a free copy.  If not, extra copies are available for purchase.
  • As a reminder, you should be receiving your statements for the capital campaign in the mail soon.  Thank you again for your generosity in this way.
  • Speaking of the capital campaign, we are turning our attention now to the church roof and beginning some of the behind the scenes legwork to begin repairs or replacement this spring or summer.
  • There is no open youth room tonight due to the NET retreat.

As always, there is much more happening around the parish and school, but there is a brief update on some activities and events around the parish and school.  I hope all is well.

Father Meyer
