I hope that you are doing well. I write today with exciting news. As you know, we have been looking for a new Director of Religious Education. I am very happy to report that we have found one and a very good one. Karrie Walton, a parishioner of Saint Timothy’s, has accepted the position and will be joining our staff here at Saint Timothy’s. Some of you may know Karrie already. She and her family moved to Maple Lake in the past few years. She is the mother of six children. Her children attend Saint Timothy’s School. Karrie has experience as a confirmation catechist, a LifeTeen Core Member, a catechist of the Good Shepherd, and more in her former parish in Ames, Iowa. She will be familiar with the life of faith formation and youth. Karrie has a passion and love for our Catholic faith and lives that faith and wants to see that faith handed on to our youth and children.
I know she will be a great fit for the position and I look forward to all of you having the opportunity to meet her. Andrew Zeisel, our former Director of Religious Education, will be assisting with her training, as the new faith formation year is right around the corner. Please join me in welcoming Karrie to our parish staff. I also wanted to thank Karrie Weber and Julie Shelby for doing a lot of the legwork behind the scenes this past summer while we were without a faith formation director with some assistance from Andrew Zeisel. They were willing to do what needed to be done these past few weeks to make sure we were ready for a new faith formation year and for the open house. God bless all of you.
