I wanted to write all of you with some exciting news. We have a new director of religious education for our parish and a new middle school religion teacher for our school. Before I make that announcement, however, I want to thank Debbie Biegler once again for all of her hard work, her faithful example, her leadership, and her dedication to our students, our catechists, and our parish.
I’m happy to announce that Andrew Zeisel has accepted the position as our new DRE and middle school religion teacher. Andrew is a faithful, committed man that brings a lot of talents and strong experience to both positions. Andrew has a Bachelor of Arts in History Education for the Secondary Level with a Middle School Endorsement. He is a former seminarian who spent eight semesters in seminary before discerning that his call was to married life but now brings a strong philosophy and theology background to the position in addition to a seminary formation. He has been serving as the Director of the Faith Formation Program at the Trinity Cluster in Monona, Iowa for the past year and has also served as a long term substitute religion teacher at Saint Francis de Sales Catholic School. He has helped to teach religion in his experiences at the seminary and served in the Totus Tuus Program. He is engaged to be married in July which is what is prompting him to come to Saint Timothy’s from Iowa. With his background in faith formation, his teaching license, his middle school experience, his philosophy and theology background, and his seminary formation, I am very excited to welcome Andrew to our parish and school staff. He comes highly recommended.
Please join me in welcoming Andrew to our staff. He will finish his current position in Iowa on June 30th, and I look forward to his arrival.
I hope all is well.
