With these unique circumstances come unique opportunities. Join us tomorrow at 2:00 PM as we live-stream the Stations of the Cross so that you can follow along from your home. This would be a great opportunity, especially during this season of Lent, to gather the family together, especially as many people are now working from home and unite in prayer as a parish. We had a great response to the live-stream of the Mass and hope you will consider joining the parish “virtually” during this time of live prayer. Of course, you can also watch it later at a more convenient time.
As you may know, the Stations of the Cross are a chance to walk with Jesus within our hearts to the cross and reflect on all that He endured for our redemption so that we can respond in faith.
In addition to largely reaching out to able-bodied persons who simply cannot gather in the church due to the latest measures to prevent the spread of the virus, live-streaming these prayers is also a great chance for our homebound to participate in the life of the parish. While not everyone may be comfortable with using Facebook, this may be a special chance for us to pray with them as well from afar.
Special thanks to Sheri Nichols for being willing to record the Stations and the 10:00 A.M. Mass every week.
We will be using the text below from Saint Alphonsus Liguori for the Stations. It is the same text that we usually use for the 7:00 P.M. Stations. Click this link for the text and consider printing it off so you can follow along at home more easily. I hope you’ll join us individually or as a family for this opportunity to walk with the Lord together as a parish.
