Appalachia Mission

For many years, the people of Saint Timothy’s have been supporting the people in Appalachia with gifts and monetary donations for Christmas.  It has been one of the many ways that you have shown your generosity and solidarity with the poor and those in need.  As you may have seen in the bulletin, it is time again for that opportunity to share the blessings that we have been given.  The deadline is October 25th.  Thank you to Sarah Goelz for coordinating this important work again this year.  Please see the bulletin announcement below:

“It is once again time to respond to the Appalachian Christmas Program!  New gifts and clothing preferably with tags still on them are needed for all ages as well as monetary donations for Christmas dinners.  The “Shoe Box Mission” is still a great opportunity to provide an all-in-one gift.  These shoe boxes can be any size, large or small, and should be filled with gifts specific to the child’s age, 2 years – 14 years.  More information on gift suggestions can be found on the bulletin boards at the back and entrances of the church.  Gifts may be left at the parish office or at Saint Timothy’s School.  Please make all checks out to the Council of Catholic Women.  The deadline is October 25th.  Thank you for your generosity!”
