A Lenten Opportunity for Spiritual Growth and Renewal

Hello everyone,

I hope you’re having a good week.  This Lent, we will be offering something special at Saint Timothy’s.  Please mark your calendars for the weekend of March 17th-19th.  During that weekend, we will move adoration into the main church for a special period of forty hours of adoration.  My hope is that this will be a time for all of us in the parish to make time for Jesus in a special way, and it will be a retreat for our whole parish.  During this time of adoration, there will be a number of different devotions, prayers, and other opportunities to grow in your faith and spend time with the Lord.  The weekend will close on Sunday, March 19th at 4:00 PM with a special evening prayer service and benediction.  There will be a reception hosted in the school afterwards for parishioners as well.  This time of adoration is part of a traditional devotion known as “Forty Hours”.  I will be sharing more information about that soon, but it is a chance for all of us to grow in our appreciation of the Eucharist and grow spiritually.  Mark your calendars for that weekend and strongly consider making it a Lenten resolution of your’s to spend time in church that weekend in a special way.  We will have more information for you soon in addition to a full schedule of the weekend’s activities.  Please save those dates in your calendar and especially plan to attend the closing on March 19th at 4:00 PM.

Father Meyer
